My First Week at FM9
To be honest I was terrified for my first week as a freshman. When the first day rolled around I was pretty nervous, I kept thinking I wouldn't have many friends in my classes, and that I might not like my classes or teachers. What happened was the total opposite. I went to my first class which was journalism it was so cool, and right when I walked in I saw a few people I knew. As my teacher started talking about this year and more of what this class was I got super exited, I could tell this was going to be a great class. I then when to art, and as I walked in I saw more people I knew, which was great. I really enjoyed how the art class was arranged and I thought the screen in the wall was super cool. From art I went to algebra, which wow so hard, I did notice some of the people in my class which was a relief. Once I found my seat I noticed I had no clue who the people sitting next to me were. A few minutes went by and I started talking to some of them, and we now are friends. My last class is preAp english, where I have a lot more friends I know, of course that's awesome. Overall this week was fantastic, I could not have had a better high school experience!
What Journalism Has Taught Me
This year in Journalism I have learned so many important lessons. I would say the most important thing I've learned this year is collaborating with others, especially in my writing. I usually like to work in partners or groups, however I wasn't a big fan when it came to my writing. The only person I mind reading my writing is my teacher, mostly because I never felt to confident in my writing. Another point I would always come to is the person I'm writing with might not enjoy my work, or have a different thought process on writing it. I would say that it helped me in the long run it helped so much, I got so used to writing with others, and noticed my writing was better because I now was confident in it. Of course it will help me in all my other classes especially English. I think that not only in school will it help me but in life. I'm going to have to collaborate with others whether it's in school or in a future job. I'm so glad I learned such an important skill in Journalism this year!
Free Write-
This semester has come so fast, next week is already Christmas break. I would say the classes I took this semester were so fun, yet taught me very important things. I liked my teachers a lot, and all the people in my classes. Even though it will be sad not having these classes anymore I'm excited to see what the other classes have to offer and meet some new people, from the other middle schools. I do think that the classes next year will be very different from previous years, however it will be a good experience. I'm ready for the challenge and all the important lessons. I do think that this semester prepared me for my harder classes next semester. I now know how the teachers are and how to get around the school, and even making some new friends. Overall I'm very exited for next semester, and know it will be great!
The Future of Blogging
Since the semester is coming to an end I guess that means this blog is supposed to come to an end. To be honest I have no idea, I would like to say the blog will be updated every so often. I would like to say that I want to expand it to more than a blog page and add videos and more photography. That is what I would love to happen, knowing myself to well I'm not sure if that will happen. If I can happen to priortize my classes next semester and everything going around outside of school, sure it could happen. For now I'll say that I plan on adding more to expand the future of this site. Until then this will be the last blog for a little while.
